FAQ 1. How to book? 2. How much notice is required to confirm a booking request?
3. How much does it cost? The prices are listed for each jumping castle. Click on each castle to display the price for 4 hours or 7 hours. The prices may change where a promotion or special offer is listed for a specified period of time, refer to our ‘Hot Offers’ page to see if a Hot Offer is applicable for the date you require.
4. What does the price include?
5. When are the Jumping Castles available?
6. How long is the Castle hired out for?
7. Can a Castle be hired overnight?
8. Is a deposit required? If your event doesn’t fall into these two categories, a deposit is not required.
9. How to pay? Most people choose to pay cash on delivery; we do not accept credit card payments, Cheques WILL NOT be accepted on the day. Cheque payments need to be reviewed in sufficient time for funds to clear before the booking date. Our bank account details are listed on each castle page for bank transfers for direct deposits.
10. What about cancellations? Cartoon Castles requires 2 weeks’ notice prior to the original event request to cancel; otherwise less than 14 days notice may result in not being able to rehire the castle out on that day. If a deposit has been paid with greater than 2 weeks’ notice provided, a full refund of the deposit will be issued. Less than 14 days notice will forfeit the deposit, unless we are able to re-hire the same castle on the same day.
11. What if it rains? All our castles have built in rain covers so can still be used in showery conditions. Please keep in mind that Jumping Castles should not be used in heavy rain, lightening, thunder storms or wind greater than 40kmp/h due to safety reasons. If the weather prevents set up of the castle on the day, a Cartoon Castles representative will call you prior to or on the day to arrange another date and time.
12. Can the Jumping Castle be set up on a slope? No, this is not possible however if it is a very slight slope it might be ok, we would need to assess the site first which may attract a quote fee, this would need to be arranged prior to confirming a booking.
13. How long does it take to set up/inflate/deflate/pack up the Castle?
14. How much space is needed?
15. Do I need to provide anything at the time of delivery? We supply all the hardware for the castle, the only 2 things you will need to provide is a 240 volt mains power supply for domestic hire. Also you will need to provide I.D., i.e. Drivers Licence or Utility Bill etc, this confirms your on-line or telephone booking as the responsible person for the duration of the Castle hire.
16. Do you supply safety instructions? Yes, they are written and attached to each castle and a hard copy is provided to the person responsible for the hire on the day and there is a requirement to sign for receipt and understanding of the safety instructions with every castle hire.
17. Is there an age limit for children using the Castle?
18. Is there a limit to the number of children that can occupy the Castle? Yes, the Disney and Scooby Doo castles can accommodate up to 8 children all jumping together. The Looney Tunes Combo castle can accommodate up to 12 children all jumping together. If more children are allowed in the castle than the recommended number, the risks are that the castle may become unbalanced and tip over; the material could tear or split and cause its deflation. A compliance notice will be issued upon delivery to inform the hirer of the hazards and responsibilities when the castle is left at the premises of the hirer.
19. What safety feature does the castle have? Features include a properly designed entry way to ensure children can enter and exit the castle safely, unlike many standard jumping castles with an open front or sides, ours have full safety mesh, which makes it almost impossible to fall out when children are inside the jumping castle. The jumping castles are firmly anchored to eliminate the risk of tipping over. The power leads and blowers have all met Australian regulations with regular safety checks and safety tagged by a registered electrician.
20. Can the castle operate on windy days? Yes it can, however winds greater than 40km per hour can be too strong for the two smaller castles. When the weather doesn’t permit, we have no choice but to cancel the hire, although this is rare, the safety of children is paramount to us as much as it is to you. We will contact you to arrange another day/time that suits both parties.
Note: Once we have established the castle for your party is available, we take your details and place them into our system. A confirmation email or letter will be posted out to you confirming your details. Should you have any other questions, please email or call us. |
